Last Saturday was another festive day at Ventura Systems, as Sinterklaas visited our site together with his two helpers. It was a morning full of merriment, excitement, dancing and, of course, presents - just as a real St Nicholas party should be.
A sporty start: warm-up and honour guard practice
Before the good saint made his appearance, the children were first well warmed up. Accompanied by a deputy saint, they did a cheerful warm-up, already jumping and moving vigorously. Then they practised making a guard of honour for the Saint. The assistant saint acted as a test person, and the children showed how enthusiastically and neatly they could do it.
Everything was ready... but then suddenly it remained remarkably quiet.
St Nicholas... fallen asleep!
When the children curiously went to see where Sinterklaas stayed, they discovered that he had fallen asleep on a chair downstairs! Fortunately, the children were quick to wake him up. And they succeeded immediately, of course - because no one can ignore the happy voices of so many enthusiastic children. With renewed energy, Sinterklaas walked through the freshly rehearsed guard of honour, while the helpers were busy handing out peppercorns.
Questions, dancing and lots of fun
After Sinterklaas took his place, the children were given the chance to ask questions. This of course yielded fun and sometimes surprising answers. Then it was time for a special dance, performed by the children themselves, with help from the help of the helpers. Sinterklaas visibly enjoyed the happy movements and smiling faces.
Looking for presents - because Pete had hidden them
When it came time to hand out presents, it turned out that Father Christmas had provided a challenge: the presents were hidden in the meeting room! The children rushed in enthusiastically and started looking. In no time, every child had found his or her present. And as it should be, a collective countdown took place... after which everyone was allowed to unwrap at the same time. The room immediately filled with happy cries, glittering looks and the rustling of gift paper.
Closing with photos and waving goodbye
After unpacking, there was time for a group photo with St Nicholas and the helpers. With something sweet, the party was concluded, and then, unfortunately, it was time to wave goodbye to Saint Nicholas and his helpers. It was another wonderful morning, filled with magic and conviviality. We are already looking forward to next year!

Sinterklaas would like to take this opportunity to thank Ventura Systems warmly for the warm welcome. In particular, he expressed his great appreciation for Ciska and Marlin, whose commitment, preparation and enthusiasm made the party a great success.
