Recently, a number of Ventura Systems employees visited Empatec's new production hall in Franeker. In this hall, 50 employees are at work producing the wooden crates that Ventura uses to transport its door systems.
Empatec has been a Ventura supplier for a variety of projects for 15 years. When the demand for wooden transport crates increased sharply, the cooperation was expanded. Meanwhile, the production of the wooden crates has expanded to two suppliers; Empatec makes the new crates while De Klamp, a work and day care location of Alliade, refurbishes used crates. This gives the crates a second, and sometimes third or fourth life!
In an article from Entrepreneurial Friesland following an interview with colleague Arjen Bos, discusses the cooperation and how Ventura Systems works with its suppliers. Both organisations experience the cooperation as valuable, precisely because the two Frisian parties make social impact together.
It is inspiring to see how this cooperation contributes not only to the continuity of our own processes, but also to the work happiness and development of this valuable target group.
