Embedded Software Engineer

What will you do?

Our technology can be found in buses worldwide, and like our products, our colleagues, customers and suppliers are international too. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving embedded software for safety applications within the automotive industry. Given the critical nature of our systems, you will work under strict quality and safety requirements (e.g. ISO 26262).

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to specify requirements, implement new functionalities and solve complex technical issues.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Translating system requirements into clear software requirements
  • Designing, documenting and implementing embedded software functionalities in C/C++
  • Analysing and solving software problems
  • Support customers and internal teams with technical queries
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, software architecture and documentation

Who are you?

You are able to grasp complex problems and make logical analyses. You know how to prioritise and plan your tasks efficiently. You are driven to achieve your goals, take initiative and continuously strive for improvement.

In addition, we would like to see your CV:

  • HBO or WO working and thinking level, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Embedded Systems
  • Demonstrable experience with embedded software development in C/C++
  • Experience in the automotive sector and/or with safety-critical systems is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of control technology is a plus
  • You work accurately, have good communication skills and enjoy working together in a technical team
  • Excellent command of English in word and writing; knowledge of Dutch is a plus
