As a Metalworker/all-round welder at Metaal2000, you will work with various machines, materials and techniques. You will make various parts used to assemble bus door systems for city buses. In doing so, you make an important contribution to high-quality and safe bus doors. Are you joining us?

Metalworker/ All-round welder

What will you do?

In this role, you work on a wide variety of tasks within our production process. One moment you are working at the press brake, the next you are attending to the welding robot or performing MAG/TIG welding. Variety is guaranteed—no two days are the same.

Your tasks will include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and translating them into your work process
  • Working on various production assignments, with flexible deployment.
  • Processing steel, stainless steel, and aluminium by cutting, bending, forming, rolling, drilling, and sawing.
  • Performing MAG and TIG welding, both by hand and with a welding robot
  • Inspecting components for dimensional accuracy and quality.
  • Maintaining tools and machines
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure an efficient production process.

Who are you?

You are technically skilled and able to read technical drawings. You enjoy variety in your work and are detail oriented. You also have a strong eye for quality and like to think along about improvements. Finally, you can work independently while also making good use of the strength of teamwork.

We also expect to see the following on your CV:

  • A VMBO degree in Engineering or similar
  • Experience as a metalworker or welder (e.g. press brake, construction bench worker, rolling miller)
  • Recent welding certificates (LKs) and/or NIL welding diplomas (level 2 or higher) are a plus
  • Technical insight and independence
  • Solution-oriented attitude
