Royal door systems

The king and his family enjoyed Emmen and arrived in style. They arrived in a VDL Diplomat with raised floor and Ventura door systems. So King's Day had a double orange touch!

In 1991, United Regional Transport Netherlands, DAF and United Bus donated a royal bus to Queen Beatrix. This bus was replaced in 2006 and transferred to the DAF Museum in Eindhoven in February 2007.

The current bus is entirely Dutch-made and made by the firm VDL Bus & Coach. The bus is dark blue (Royal blue), like the passenger cars of the Royal Stable Department. The bus has 25 seats and is equipped with a cloakroom and toilet.

You can watch the arrival of the royal family on the VDL bus here see.
