Project engineering

As a project engineer, you will be technically responsible for working with our customers to understand their needs and design door systems that meet their specific requirements.

Design, modelling and realisation

As a Project Engineer, you are technically responsible for the design of door systems that perfectly match our customer's requirements. You will work intensively with the engineers on the customer side, thus forming an indispensable link in the entire process, from the initial idea to the realisation of a complete door system for buses, autonomous vehicles or other means of transport. What you design from Bolsward will soon become the access to public transport for millions of travellers worldwide.

the work process in brief

In your job, you have about 20% of customer contact and spend 80% of the time working on designs.

1

Collaboration

In cooperation with sales, you identify the customer's (technical) requirements and receive the specifications for the portal to be filled.

2

Designs

You will then work independently to design the door system, taking into account quality, efficiency and applicability.

3

3D model

In between, you will coordinate various issues with your colleagues and the customer to arrive at a final product: a CAD 3D model.

4

In production

After customer approval, your model goes into production and the customer will receive the door system and install it for the first time.

5

First installation

You are present at the (international) customer to oversee the initial installation: is there an exact match between your design and the vehicle? Or are adjustments still necessary?

6

Series production

After performing the initial 'sign off' with the customer, series production will start and the vehicles will be delivered all over the world.

in short, the job involves:

This position requires a strong technical background and a customer-focused approach.
